To provide a direct marketing opportunity for local producers of Simcoe County grown agricultural commodities and other farm-related products. These products include: homegrown fruits, vegetables, meats, cheese, eggs, bakery products, cider, maple syrup, honey, fresh and dried flowers, herbs, houseplants, nursery plants, jams, jellies, pickles and other prepared food products.
To provide local residents, tourists and guests with the opportunity to buy fresh, Simcoe County grown farm products that are nutritious, readily available and affordable.
To create a place to educate consumers on health and nutrition issues, including how food is grown, produced, or processed.
To artisans' of the area, a venue to have their products shown and to be admired in mediums of glass, wood, textiles, pottery, artists, photography in addition, home crafts for a one-of-a-kind item.
To allow community groups, artists, musicians, organizations and associations to participate by being featured in the 'Sunday Salute' to promote and interact with vendor and consumer.
To provide a community activity that celebrates the vitality, diversity and culture of Midland and Simcoe County.

The Midland Farmers' & Artisans' Market was established to pursue the following goals:
